Children’s Parade - Saturday January 21st
The float will be available Saturday morning before 10:00 a.m. for people to drop off beads ahead of time. The float is housed at Sunny Florida Dairy 2209 North 40th Street, Tampa, FL. Buses will leave from the Italian Club to staging area at 1:00 sharp. Everyone riding the bus needs to be at the Italian Club by 12:30. Our float position is number 102 in the staging area. During the parade, please follow instructions by anyone wearing a yellow vest. Children 5 and under must stay on the float with their supervising adult and are not allowed to walk. We are limited to how many children we can accommodate. There should be one adult for every two kids. Release forms must be signed by the parent or guardian of the child no later than 1/20. These forms can be left at the Italian club behind the bar on Friday, 1/20. As long as there is a form on file, there is no need to get a new one done. Once the children are in the staging area, we will have hotdogs, drinks and a snack. Parade organizers request that beads not be thrown before the official beginning of the parade which is Bay to Bay. This is an alcohol free event. Costumes are optional. Some will be in costume. A Krewe shirt or a red, white and green shirt is acceptable as well as black or any other color. Pirate costumes are okay for children only. |
